Wizz Air canceled some flights to Italy between 11 March and 4 April. According to the company, it will only reduce flights in response to falling demand, without the passengers concerned counting on compensation.
It is not possible to book tickets at this time to Rome, Bologna, Catania, Naples, Milan and Bari, according to MTI’s booking page.
For these days, the booking page indicates no flights.

Wizz Air has provided the following information:

“Wizz Air is constantly monitoring the demand for tickets on all its routes and has decided to reduce the frequency of some of its flights, including to destinations in Italy, between March 11 and April 2 due to declining demand. It doesn’t suspend these routes, hasn’t canceled all flights to these destinations, and continues to operate at reduced capacity to these destinations.

The affected passengers will be notified by email at least 15 days prior to departure of their cancellation, and may choose to accept a free rescheduling, 100% refund of their original fare or 120% by credit to WIZZ account. As cancellations are notified to the passengers concerned no later than 14 days before departure, they shall not be entitled to any additional compensation under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004.”
